Tablet PC's vs Desktop PC's

Computers
Industry reports have suggested that by 2015 Tablet PC's will have taken over in terms of sales from the traditional Desktop PC. The report suggest that by 2015 Tablet PC's will have a forecasted 38% market share.

What could this mean for the Desktop PC? Will it spark a series of excellent Desktop PC Deals? Will it start a fierce compeition with Tablet producers coming back with even better Tablet PC Deals? Only one think can be for certain, all this competition will be great for the consumer, stiff competition should drive down prices and also encourage manufacturers to find new ways to get that edge, be it with life changing innovations to the tech inside the machines or by completely changing the way we use the machines all together.

We have already seen a glimps of this will Apple's revolutionary iPad and iPad2 and now Sony have released the eagerly anticipated Sony S Tablet which is packed full of media rich features to help the Sony S Tablet Integrate with you life and exisiting products _ It ever doubles up as a Playstattion Certified Console!! Apple of course have the unique edge with their AppStore, there are Millions of Applications for the iPad which you can often not get on its Android or Windows counterparts which means Apple very much have a startonghold on the Tablet Market at the moment. Retailers have also started to introduce some great Cheap iPad Deals with you now being apple to pick up an iPad2 for just £399.

Of course in all of this the biggest company in the world will have something to say....Microsoft! With around 9 out of 10 Desktop PC's being loaded with Microsoft software a shift in the sales moving from Desktop PC's to Tablet PC's, where Microsoft do not hold the same market share as they enjoy with Desktop PC software, could be disaterouse for the software giant. Rumour has it that Microsoft may even start building their own Desktop PC's and offering their own Desktop PC Deals so they can have a direct influence on the market!
